The Barbenheimer Industrial Complex Calls Dibs on Your ME Time

Hi, Barbie. Hi, Oppie. The Barbenheimer Industrial Complex has already added billions in revenue to US and global economies.

This week, on the What’s Your Work Fit? live show, viewer Helen asked our guest Geoff Woliner “how do I keep my boss from invading my ME time?”

But by the looks of it, Helen’s boss is no match for the Barbenheimer Industrial Complex.

Across the globe, many are using their ME time to be entertained in theaters and stadiums. And as of this writing:

• Barbie is set to cross $1.12 Billion in ticket sales worldwide, and;
• Oppenheimer is on track to yield slightly more than half that much or $600 Million in box office receipts.

But wait, there’s more happening in the ME Time marketplace:

• CBS News reports that, by the end of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, Swifties will have added $5 Billion in spending to the global economy, and
• Beyoncé’s stadium shows are generating $5–10 Million nightly. NIGHTLY!
